Accepting birds February 9th through May 15th.

Birds must be vaccinated for PMV 14 days prior to arrival at loft.

All birds must be banded with a 2026 seamless band recognized by a National Organization (AU, IF, CU…etc).

Birds will be quarantined in a separate building for at least 5 days upon arrival.

All birds will be given vaccine for PMV (First PMV shot must be done 14 days prior to arrival at loft), treated for Canker, internal and external parasites, and chipped before entering the race loft.

Birds with visible Pox or other serious health concerns will not enter race loft and will be returned at the breeder’s expense.

FEES

Perch fees are $150/ bird, with a no limit, Buy 2 Get One Free option.
(i.e. Purchase 2 perches send 3 birds, Purchase 4 perches send 6 birds and so on)

Entry Fee: $350 per bird due after the 125 mile activation race, due within 7 days after 125 miles race.

15% of entry fees will be retained for expenses.

All birds who return within the 48hr window after the activation race must be activated. No picking and choosing of individual birds from breeder’s team.

Birds with unpaid entry fees after the 7 day window will become property of MVOLR. At this time, said birds will be available for another breeder to activate and subsequently the new owner will have complete ownership (including potential winnings) after paid entry. Any unpaid birds will become property of MVOLR at the time of release of the first race (150 miles).

RACE INFO

All birds will be chipped and entered into Wincompanion upon arrival.

All birds will have their 9th flight pulled around May 15th and 10th flight around June 15th.

Visitors are always welcome by appointment.

GPS tracking on trailer will be available throughout the training and racing season.

W-9 forms are required if winnings are over $600 per IRS. Forms are available here.

RACE SERIES FORMAT and prizes

5 Race Series, all included in Average Speed (150, 200, 250, 300, 350 Miles)

Approximate Race dates below are subject to change due to weather conditions and birds condition. MVOLR loft manager reserves the right to change dates according to what is best for the birds.

• 125 mile activation-Sept 2nd

• 150 mile - 1st bird in clock $500 Sept 9th

• 200 mile - 2% of prizes first 5 birds in clock -Sept 16th

• 250 mile - 3% of prizes paid to first 5 birds in clock - Sept 23rd

• 300 mile - 12% of prizes paid to top 5% - additional $800 to first bird in the clock - Sept 30th

• 350 Miles - 68% of prizes paid to top 10% - Additional $1000 to first bird in clock - Oct 7th

Average Speed (150 miles, 200 miles, 250 miles, 300 miles, 350 miles) 15% of prizes paid to the top 5 birds (50/20/15/10/5 split)

Prizes paid by first drop then clocking order in the 300 and 350 mile race.

In the event of a tie on the clock, prizes will be added together and divided equally

Races will be closed 48 hours after release. If no birds clock within the first 48 hours, an additional 24 hours will be added to the race.

Any unpaid prizes will be divided and distributed to the winners within a particular race.

After the race series is complete, birds will be shipped back to breeders, at the breeders expense. Shippings cost will be rounded up to the nearest dollar and the cost of a new shipping box will be added to USPS cost.

Unclaimed birds after the season will become property of MVOLR 7 days after the final race.

Magic Valley OLR reserves the right to deny any breeder participation for any reason.

Magic Valley OLR will not be held responsible, under any circumstance, for lost or missing birds including but not limited shipping issues, delays, improper shipping practices, theft, illness, inclement weather, and any other happening leading to loss of birds.
